I've been reading the http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/ blog and she has a great cookbook that seems practical yet full of scrumptious recipes!! I really liked the work-saving tips she suggests.
Going paleo has been quite the adventure - especially when we have to grab a quick bite. Melissa has a recipe for scotch eggs in her cookbook's PDF sampler and they were delicious. The first time I made them, they split (though still tasted great). At a loss to figure out what happened, I emailed her and she responded within the hour. I tried her suggestions and had perfection the second time around.
If you're thinking of trying the paleo lifestyle, or just looking to try a few new recipes, you should definitely check her website and cookbook out.

But I like rice and peanut butter.....
It seems all I eat is protein - and I never was a big meat-eater/lover!! I loved whole grains and beans.. had actually been thinking of becoming more vegetarian. I guess those days are over... sad but true.
On the bright side... my abdomen is feeling happier and I've found some good info on the Internet to help me better understand things. Check this site out http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/wellfed/. Melissa Joulwon has a great looking cookbook and she has a 30 page free PDF download. However, I'll still miss my sweets and cream in my coffee!!

... why would I stop eating bagels and cream cheese??
My diet has been here and there for awhile. Mainly, I've eaten wholesome healthy foods. No white bread, even less white sugar..... However, weight and digestive issues remain.
In December, my daughter's coach recommended going gluten-free, but it's holiday season and it was REALLY hard to implement it 100%. Then in January, he wanted her to use a modified Paleo diet.
It really seemed like there was nothing to eat but meat and vegetables...
